Brandi Porter is Assistant Professor of Library and Information Studies. She received her Ph.D. in Information Science from Nova Southeastern University, and her MLIS degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, via online learning programs. Having spent many years as a practicing academic library director, her courses are designed with activities meant to mirror professional work that students are likely to encounter in the field. Her research interests include management, information retrieval, reference, information literacy, and open educational resource initiatives.
