Shannon Perry is an arts-inspired educator and qualitative methodologist who earned her Ph.D. in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development from The University of Georgia. Currently, she teaches classes in the Adult and Career Education program related to adult learning theory and practice, curriculum development and instructional design, multimedia writing, and mentoring for professional development. Across teaching and research, she employs artful practice-based methods for exploring complex, affective aspects of experiencing and cultivating holistic learning in diverse communities of practice. Her research focuses on (w)holistic learning theories and practices emphasizing affective, embodied, and relational aspects of experience, spiritual formation, developing collaborative creative communities and relationships, and narrative, poetic, and participatory inquiry approaches attuned to affective, embodied, and aesthetic ways of being, knowing, and doing.
