Student Recipe Contest: Tastes Like Home

VALDOSTA -- From mom鈥檚 fried chicken to grandpa鈥檚 pecan pie, share the flavors of home with the campus community during Blazer Dining鈥檚 student recipe contest, 鈥淭here鈥檚 No Taste Like Home.鈥�

Entries for soup, salad, entr茅e (meat and vegetarian), pasta or dessert are due to Palm鈥檚 or Hopper Dining Center by the end of the day on Monday, Nov. 22. Each submission must include a recipe with detailed list of ingredients and cooking instructions. Winning recipes in each of five categories will be announced on Monday, Nov. 29.

Palm鈥檚 Dining Center will feature the five winning recipes on the Wednesday, Dec. 1, dinner menu. Students will vote to crown the grand-prize winner, who will receive $50 in Blazer Bucks.

National Competition

Students may also enter a national recipe contest for a chance to win two American Airline gift cards to fly home for the holidays. An upcoming Sodexo cookbook will feature the winning recipes from the national competition. For more information, go to .
