Dr. Hallie Eckdahl is the Scottish-Rite Literacy Clinic Coordinator at 茄子视频. She earned her SLP.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from 茄子视频 in 2018. Her teaching interests include language and literacy disorders and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Dr. Eckdahl is dedicated to supporting individuals with complex communication needs and enhancing literacy outcomes in children.

Dr. Blair Handy is an instructor of audiology. She received her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida in 2012. Her academic coursework examines the impact of hearing loss across the human lifespan, from infancy through adulthood. It encompasses the anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, the diagnosis and classification of hearing disorders, audiometric evaluation and interpretation, as well as approaches to hearing habilitation and rehabilitation. As a clinical audiologist, she is committed to minimizing the barriers imposed by hearing loss and enhancing access to newborn hearing screenings, particularly for families utilizing alternative birthing options.

Teaching Fields: Language Disorders in Young Children, Early Language Development and Milestones, Assessment and Treatment in Pediatric Language, Clinical Methods in Early Language Development

Victoria Herring, M. Ed., CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist and founder of Evolve Therapy Solutions in Valdosta, Georgia. She teaches graduate-level coursework in Language Disorders in Young Children. This class focuses on assessment, intervention, and family-centered practice. Her clinical and teaching interests include the following: pediatric feeding and swallowing, early language development, and caregiver coaching to support communication. She is passionate about advancing access to pediatric feeding therapy services in rural communities, while mentoring future clinicians in evidence-based and compassionate care.

Teaching Fields: Lindsey teaches and provides feedback for therapists in the areas of autism, apraxia, receptive and expressive language delays, and articulation and phonological disorders.

Lindsey Hobdy is a speech language pathologist with AmeriTherapy Services and a Clinical Instructor for 茄子视频. Lindsey provides therapy services to pediatrics with autism, apraxia, receptive and expressive language delays, and articulation and phonological disorders. Lindsey is interested in the previously stated areas and providing the best care possible for her patients and passing on her knowledge to other clinicians in the field.

Marian Jones is a clinical supervisor in the Valdosta State Speech and Language Clinic for master’s level students. Her doctorate was received in 2008 with an emphasis on supervision. Marian has received extensive training in reading interventions. She has spent most of her career as a Speech Language Pathologist and has been in clinical practice with young children.

Teaching Fields: Normal Language Acquisition

Rosalyn Martinez is a lecturer of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She received a master’s degree from Florida State University and currently teaches undergraduate coursework in Normal Language Acquisition. As a bilingual speech-language pathologist, her teaching and clinical interests include bilingual language development, assessment of bilingual populations, communication supports for individuals with moderate to severe disabilities, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), autism, selective mutism, and culturally responsive practices and inclusive communication supports across diverse populations.

Anne Mull is a remote, adjunct instructor. She received her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Arizona in 2006. She teaches graduate courses related to aural rehabilitation. Her interests include aural rehabilitation and diagnostic audiology.

Teaching Fields: Whitney provides clinical supervision and feedback to graduate students in the areas of expressive and receptive language delays, autism, pragmatic language delays, use of AAC devices, as well as articulation and phonological disorders. 

Whitney Paulk is a Speech-Language Pathologist who works in a private pediatric therapy practice, AmeriTherapy Services and a Part Time Clinical Supervisor for 茄子视频. She received her Master's Degree in Education in Communication Disorders in December of 2008. She currently treats patients with expressive/receptive language delays, autism, pragmatic language delays, apraxia, AAC devices, and articulation and phonological delays. She is interested in all areas of expressive/receptive language and use of alternative augmentative communication devices across the Autism population.

Christa Shaw is a clinical supervisor for the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from 茄子视频 in March 1998 followed by her master's degree in August 1999. Since completing her formal education, she has built extensive experience across a variety of clinical settings and age groups to serve and meet the needs of populations with an array of communication needs. In addition to her clinical work, she has provided supervision and mentorship to numerous Speech Pathology interns and externs.

Teaching Fields: Pediatric Dysphagia/Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing Disorders 

Dr. Turner is responsible for the establishment of several departmental programs and initiatives revolving around neuroprotection/neurobehavioral development, oral feeding (breast and bottle), language nutrition, and parental involvement. Her current research is centered on the establishment of cue-based feeding protocols, facilitation of language nutrition through parent involvement, nurturing touch and parent bonding, and understanding the potential effects of swaddle bathing on oral feeding performance. Dr. Turner received a master’s degree and doctoral degree from Louisiana State University in Communication Sciences and Disorders, a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Southern University, and bachelor’s degree from Millsaps College in Elementary Education. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and state licensure in Texas. Dr. Turner is a Board-Certified Neonatal Therapist (Neonatal Therapy National Certification Board), an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners), and a Certified Neonatal Touch and Massage Therapist (Creative Therapy Consultants).
